Printed Paradise
If it actually gets printed, I want to vacation here!

Sri Lanka-based architectural firm Shakticola aims to use concrete 3D printing from the Dutch company Vertico to bring its hotel concept to life. The company says it used AI to design the sweeping curves of the monolithic structure pictured below that, we expect, will be one of several hotel units. For now though, we just have this wonderful Blender render to hook our vacation dreams on. Check out the interview with the architects at Ceylon Today.

Deamon in the Details
If you're a Daemon X Machina (video game) fan, you're no doubt eagerly awaiting

the Sept. release of the Titanic Scion sequel, which is generating considerable buzz since creators dropped trailers and behind-the-scenes videos. The new developer documentary provides a deep look into the creative process that, of course, includes resin 3D printing characters and armor designs. "When you're just looking at the in-game model, it's sometimes hard to tell if it's cool or not," says series producer Kenichiro Tsukuda. "So ... we make it a physical object. We have enhanced the feeling of a human wearing the suit even more than in the previous game."

Summertime Art
Candy ribbons, ocean waves on a coral reef, or maybe cloud formations at sunset.

Whatever it's reminiscent of, the 3D printed architectural experiment by the arts foundation Origen and the university ETH Zurich unveiled in the small Swiss village of Mulegns is beautiful. Students designed and built an ice cream shop featuring hanging 3D printed ribbons made from recycled PETG using robotic arm 3D printers. Printed at the university's impressive Robotic Fabrication Lab, the massive instillation weights less than one tonne. Check out more details over at Designboom.
