Weekend Poll
I was planning to change the subject and explore something new,

but after printing with virtual filament colors this week, I just can't help myself. Let's keep the conversation going. Last week, some 70% of you who print in color indicated you do so using single-nozzle and toolchanging systems. This suggests that native multicolor printing hardware is the dominant way to create color prints these days.

So we know how. Now tell me why. Why are you adding color to what you print?

Sit. Stay. Measure.
3D printing tackles the ultimate challenge — shoes that stay on your dog.

If you can get your dog to stand still long enough to measure its paws with calipers, Finnish startup Bark & Sole has a treat for you: custom 3D printed dog shoes. These are engineered to fit each pup’s unique paw geometry (yes, even ankle circumference and dew claw placement), breed quirks, and gait mechanics, the company says. It's all about making sure Fido’s footwear doesn’t flop, twist, or fall off. Shoes range roughly from $40-$200 and ship worldwide.

A little over 60% of you are making multicolor prints.

That's according to last weekend's poll. This number jumps up to 75% if we include those who plan to start doing so in the future. So let's dig a little deeper. Of those of you who are using more than one material or color in your prints, how are you doing it?

Inside the INDX
Folks are excited about the Prusa INDX upgrade.

That much is clear. But don't forget the Bondtech INDX is actually a standalone platform, meaning compatibility with a range of off-the-shelf Klipper (plus other firmwares) and custom builds. The latest developer video from Bondtech explores the Duet3D co-developed toolhead board and its I/O, including compatibility with SZP coils for very fast mesh bed levelling.

In contrast, Prusa uses its own toolhead board, opting for an integrated load cell for nozzle-based mesh bed levelling.
