Kaneda Life
The most iconic motorcycle in anime is alive

thanks in part to 3D printing. Kaneda's ride from the 1988 cult film Akira, a critical component of what many consider to be the greatest anime of all time, has been 3D printed in tribute to the classic. It's been setting internet hearts aflame in the last few days, and we can see why.

Utilizing 3D printing and AI in its construction, the bike was built as a collaboration between chic Peugeot-owned e-bike maker DAB Motors and Vita Veloce Team, the Instagram post showing off this gorgeous thing suggests pre-orders will be open soon.

Build it and they will come
A new Mecca for 3D printing nerds.

You know who you are;  you probably went to Amsterdam just to walk across the 3D printed canal bridge (before it was removed in 2023). So, now, pack your bags for Switzerland! The Tor Alva or "White Tower" is now open. It's the tallest (30-meters) 3D printed structure in the world — and apparently serves no other purpose, except for being a showcase by the technology Univ. ETH in Zurich for sustainable construction, computational design, and digital fabrication.

The Print We Deserve
Sometimes the best things are truly terrible.
