Big ticket printer deals often grab the headlines, but Black Friday is actually a solid time to stock up on consumables. We've found significant bulk discounts from Sunlu, Bambu Lab, and Creality – just watch out for the shipping minimums.
Sunlu is offering most of their PLA and PETG 1 kg rolls for ~$10/kg until December 1, however keep in mind that this offer is only valid if you buy a minimum of 6 rolls (or 6 kg).
For performance enthusiasts, Kexcelled has discounted their engineering materials at Amazon. Their TPU 95A for example is available for ~$18-20/kg depending on the color whereas it’s normally available for ~$30.
Bambu Lab is of course running a bulk sale on all their filaments. Your savings depends on how many rolls you’re buying as the discount increases with the number of rolls – up to 45% off if you buy 18 or more.
This bulk offer however only applies to their PLA basic, PLA Matte, PLA Silk+, PETG HF and Translucent, and ABS. Other filaments like PLA Translucent or TPU only have a couple dollars off and are not offered bulk discounts, so if you’re looking for something more specialized, look elsewhere.
Creality is offering 4 packs of Hyper PLA and PETG for $59.99 (~$15/kg) and $69.99 (~$17.50/kg) respectively. However you cannot choose your own colors as it’s from their PlanetPrint series, limited you to certain color combinations. Alternatively, owners of Creality machines with RFID readers can grab a vibrant 4 pack of Hyper PLA RFID for $65.99.
If you’re a fan of Prusa’s Prusament filament, they are offering 25% off on most Prusament for their Black Friday sale. You have until the sale’s close on December 2 to take advantage of that.
eSUN has got some pretty hefty discounts on their filaments. 1 kg of the brand’s basic PLA filament is available for $11.99 at 33% off. Some are half off like their PLA Matte Refill and Spool set at $15.99 or their ABS+HS at $9.99.
Anycubic’s Black Friday discounts extend to filament and resin refills. too. Unfortunately there are no discounts on individual rolls of filament – if you want savings, you will have to buy a minimum of 10 kg.
Polymaker is offering an automatic 30% – 45% off all filament – discounts in the ballpark of the brand’s notable restock days sale – automatically at checkout. Unlike the majority of sales we’ve found, this applies on everything the brand offers, including the technical Fiberon glass- and carbon-filled materials, and the aesthetic Panchroma line. Depending on how much you spend additional perks like 5% cashback kick in, if you’re signed up for the Polymaker loyalty program.
ProtoPasta has 20% off sitewide for Black Friday plus an extra 5% off if you sign up with your email. ProtoPasta is a premium boutique brand, so don’t expect bargain-bin prices. Even with the discount, a 1 kg spool of HTPLA sits close to the $40 mark – worth it, but still considerably more than most deals mentioned above.
