IPO to Indiegogo
Creality's four-filament SparkX i8 3D printer is live and ready for backing on Indiegogo.

The printer uses a creative four-channel nozzle and switching extruder Creality calls QuarTeks to cut print waste on multi-filament prints. The printer circumvents the filament cut'n'purge other single-nozzle printers use by having each of the filaments primed inside the nozzle in its own discrete channel. Creality claims there's zero purge during printing. See for yourself over on Indiegogo, where a limited early-bird discount has the i8 available from $289.

Maximum Mach, Minimum Details
Mach X marks the spot: Nikon SLM teases its next metal LPBF

Nikon SLM Solutions just began teasing a new metal 3D printer under the banner “Reach Mach speed,” which appears to be its first genuinely new production platform in years. It's aimed at the “middle range” where most actual manufacturing happens. Details are scarce beyond promises of throughput, reliability, and volume production, while the campaign URL’s “Mach X” offers one more breadcrumb for the speculation pile. The reveal is set for Nov. 17, opening day of Formnext 2026, so until then we’re apparently expected to make do with a countdown clock and our imaginations.

MicroSwiss’ New FlowTech Hyper-CHT Nozzle Takes Melt-Surface Area (and Flow) to the Extreme

The race for speed in 3D printing might better be characterized as a race for flow. And in that arena, you have options. MicroSwiss recently upped its flow game with the release of the Hyper-CHT nozzle, a riff on Bondtech's Core Heating Technology IP with a custom design that ekes out more millimeters cubed of plastic per second.

More Volume, More Throughput
TPM3D’s new compact SLS gets a capacity boost over the last model.

TPM3D used Formnext Asia Shenzhen to launch the CF250 and companion PPS250 powder-processing station, successors to the CF200 + PPS200 system we saw at Formnext Frankfurt in 2025. The CF250 is positioned as a compact alternative to systems like the Formlabs Fuse Fuse 1+ 30W. It now sports a larger chamber than before (250 × 250 × 320 mm) and raised productivity claims to 0.9–1.0 L/h. TPM3D has not announced pricing for the CF250 + PPS250.

What's New, V2?
A modest hardware update for Anycubic's big bedslinger is coming.

The Kobra 3 Max V2 focuses on improvements at the hot end, upgrading the printer to use Anycubic's newer-style quick-release hardened steel nozzles as found in the Kobra 4 and Kobra X printers. Launching early next month, the change brings a higher max hot end temp of 350 °C  – 50 °C higher than the first-gen Kobra 3 Max. That's basically where the upgrade ends.

Available as the Kobra 3 Max V2 Combo, it'll ship with the company's newer ACE Pro 2 filament dryer and switcher. Baseline specs remain the same: 420 x 420 x 500 mm build volume, reaching 90 °C at the bed.
