Did Another New Bambu Lab Printer Just Leak?

A photograph doing the rounds on social media suggests an H2D-like build volume with a simpler, single-nozzle printhead that bears strong similarity to the A1-series printers.

Cries in Poor
Did you preorder a Nintendo Switch 2?

Why wait for the official launch tomorrow when you can 3D print one today? Printables user DiamondCore’s “nearly-accurate” replica prints in just a few hours with only minimal organic supports. It won’t play Mario Kart World, but if you hit yourself hard enough over the head with it, maybe your concussed self could imagine it does. (Disclaimer: Don’t hit yourself over the head.)

Innovating on Supports
Dissolvable supports coming to resin 3D printing?

MIT engineers have developed a resin that turns into two different kinds of solids depending on the type of light that shines on it. Ultraviolet light cures the resin into a permanent solid, while visible light turns the same resin into a solid that is easily dissolvable in baby oil (and other solvents) enabling easily removable supports on resin prints that can then be reused instead of thrown away.

Padded Out
We need this PrusaSlicer control pad to happen

but for now it's just a concept courtesy of designer Andrea Perugini. It consists of just six keys (slice, arrange, cut, scale, rotate, and add) and one control knob with a rotary function to work on the X, Y, and Z-axes.

Should it come to life, this little pad could be fun and helpful little peripheral for working in PrusaSlicer. But, what do you think?

Kaneda Life
The most iconic motorcycle in anime is alive

thanks in part to 3D printing. Kaneda's ride from the 1988 cult film Akira, a critical component of what many consider to be the greatest anime of all time, has been 3D printed in tribute to the classic. It's been setting internet hearts aflame in the last few days, and we can see why.

Utilizing 3D printing and AI in its construction, the bike was built as a collaboration between chic Peugeot-owned e-bike maker DAB Motors and Vita Veloce Team, the Instagram post showing off this gorgeous thing suggests pre-orders will be open soon.
