The new McLaren W1 features 3D printed titanium components

in its F1-inspired suspension, specifically its front uprights and wishbones. McLaren used 3D printing for these parts due to weight optimization, and considering the W1 has 1,275 hp and weighs just 1,399 kg, we'd wager that's pretty important. As McLaren's successor to the legendary F1 and P1 hypercars, the W1 has massive boots to fill, and a price tag to match. You'll need more than $2.7M to get the keys to one. As all 399 examples are already spoken for though, this is something not even money can buy. I think I need to start doing All3DP car reviews...

Nexa's Next Life
Stratasys provides some life-support for your Nexa3D printer.

If you bought a Nexa3D machine just before it went out of business, fear not! Stratasys is coming to the rescue. It just acquired some of Nexa3D's assets, including IP and some equipment. This mean customers can receive what Nexa3D calls "best-effort support" and materials from iSquared AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stratasys, so that they can continue to use their machines. With Nexa3D's IP, we wonder what Stratasys will innovate on. Stay tuned.
