What is it? The designer, Greg Zumwalt, points out that this is a “high precision print and build.” Greg’s MyMiniFactory page shows that he is adept at designing and printing mechanical models.

Once assembled, you’ll have a beautiful mechanical bird alongside an elegant 3D printed flower. Be aware that the assembly may take some time though: There are 97 parts including a motor hidden in the base. Check the comments to help source the motor and find other helpful tips to make this work.

What is it? Up-cycle a used water bottle for the little birds! A Bee and Wasp Guard, also on Thingiverse, will keep out unwanted visitors. The comment list suggested one way to ensure the feeder parts can be easily cleaned is to print with ABS filament and vapor smooth the parts.
