Get a $1,000 Grip
We're "obsessed with the smallest details" says Trickstuff,

the German mountain bike brake accessory manufacturer, which just launched its 3D printed titanium brake levers that are lighter and stronger than machined-aluminum thanks to a hollow-core design. A unique honeycomb surface ensures a secure grip. Printed via metal laser powder bed fusion on machines from Trumpf, the levers, with the rest of the braking system, go for about $1,250 a pair.

Better Than Tents
What the U.S. Army learned by 3D printing barracks.

How vulnerable 3D printed structures are to "high seismic environments" and how to mitigate that risk was something senior U.S. military leaders said should have been understood in advance of 3D printing barracks at the Fort Bliss Army Base in Texas. With that issue addressed, the Army seems keen to use 3D printed structures at regular training sites to potentially replace tents. Read more at Gov Design Hub.

Bring Your Ideas to Market
In the category: Cool Products Not Possible Without 3D Printing,

is the new RotaLuber ($39.95). Designed and invented by former Kawasaki R&D manager James Cooke, the small 3D printed bicycle chain lubrication device claims to reduce lube by 30% while delivering up to 40% more drivetrain life. It got rave reviews over at RikeRumor. Sure, if sales skyrocket, the company may injection mold these parts, but to bring a functional product to market without the huge upfront investment, 3D printing was the answer.
