The Elegoo Centauri Carbon's $300 price tag is a core strength. In an announcement on social media, Elegoo has outlined its plans for price changes in the U.S.

The U.S administration’s current tariff policy has sent some 3D printing prices bouncing higher and higher, triggering the occasional bout of confusion and disorder with order cancellations and retroactive price adjustments.

A couple of days ago, Elegoo posted on Reddit, Discord, and other platforms to inform users that it “may adjust product pricing on its US official store in the coming months” due to the situation with global trade and tariffs. The word “may” is doing a lot of heavy lifting if you ask us, as there’s surely no way for the company to avoid the new levies.

Promising a week’s notice on its official store website, the post confirms that the prices of orders made before any price adjustments are made will be honored. This applies to anything the company sells, mind. Not just the Centauri Carbon.

The current batch of Centauri Carbon orders, placed after March 13, are slated for delivery by July 31. Orders dating back as far as February 17 may not be delivered yet, too, so the confirmation that there won’t be a pricing rug-pull of any kind will be music to the ears of those waiting for their printer.

For everyone else on the fence about the printer, it’s surely a starting pistol to snag one before the prices jump.
