For a brand that's usually making mainboards, hot ends, build plates, and all manner of 3D printing addons, Biqu’s latest release is an upgrade for your feet.
BigTreeTech continues to prove its mercurial quality in the 3D printing space with the launch of a new Biqu Life product line. This time, though, think footwear instead of hardware, because the Biqu Life slippers are exactly that – a pair of slides. For your feet.
Available in unisex sizing, from US mens size 6/women’s 7.5 to men’s 12/women’s 13 (sorry, kids), and a limited range of four colors, for the flat price of $69, they seem a pretty compelling offer when we consider the ~$150+ ask of other fully 3D printed footwear available today.
The slides themselves are made from flexible photopolymer resin and printed in Biqu’s printing facility using LCD-style resin 3D printers, Biqu tells us. They sport a full lattice design typical of such printed footwear, with connected areas on the footplate, we presume, for support.

Biqu sent All3DP a pair to check out. Maybe it’s just the surprise that Biqu is even doing this (they’ve caught me flat-footed), but they’re not half bad!
Opening up the drawstring sports bag they ship with, you’re hit by the slightly chemical smell of resin. Fortunately, they seem to have been thoroughly cleaned, because they feel pleasant in the hand, with no sign of the tackiness that can accompany resin prints.

There’s quite a lot of bounce in the step, but you’re not crushing through to the floor as you walk. The fit for my spade-like EU44 feet is a little loose but not uncomfortably so. (I requested size 44, but Biqu suggests that if your feet are long or wide, order one size up.) In contrast to the other printed shoes I’ve experienced, the material doesn’t have that vaguely rubber-like texture, meaning they don’t pinch and rub uncomfortably. There’s also no real need for socks, which you’d expect of a pair of slippers like this.
I may be the self-appointed 3D printed footwear tzar at All3DP, but I’m no footwear expert, so take my review notes about their actual quality as a pair of shoes with a pinch of salt. So far, I have worn them around the office and simulated slippery poolside conditions in the tiled All3DP men’s bathroom, with the slippers holding up admirably. My socks are wet now, though I suppose I shouldn’t hold that against them.
Biqu touts the qualities of the Biqu Life slippers as a quick-drying, indoor/outdoor-suitable pair of all-purpose shoes with good arch support. And there’s more to come from Biqu Life, more shoes and other 3D printed products in the pipeline, apparently.
You can grab your own pair from Biqu’s webstore right now.
