Maker Multiplex at University of Calgary (Fab Lab)
Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary has an excellent fab lab in the city: Maker Multiplex (M2). It’s an ideal environment for fostering scientific and technological innovation and discovery. M2 was launched for engineering students to use and become a part of the maker community.
Unfortunately, it’s only open to students, faculty, and staff of the university. However, if you fall into that category, membership will give you access to all their amazing tools and resources. Among the equipment and facilities available are 3D printers, lathes, mills, drill presses, robotics, microcontrollers, plasma cutters, welders, grinders, and laser cutters. There are also regular workshops on different topics such as 3D printing or Eagle PCB design.
