Pinshape Gives Away Free Filament

Everything is better when it’s free. That’s why Pinshape will be handing out 200 rolls of Madesolid PET+ this October via the Madesolid Filament Giveaway.

This month, Pinshape and Madesolid are teaming up to give away 200 rolls of high quality PET+ filament in their Madesolid Filament Giveaway. There are two ways to win—one of which requires virtually no effort, making it great for lazy people around the globe. The contest ends October 31st at midnight.

Option One: The first (and far more fun route) is to print something. Download and print a design from Pinshape’s Marketplace. Next, take some photos and upload them, along with the print settings, to Pinshape. As of now there are 297 entries, and 150 rolls of filament to be given away. Yes, you can even do multiple prints and entries.

Pinshape is a platform designed specifically for sharing, downloading high quality 3D print designs. The Vancouver-based company focuses almost entirely on the printing community. The goal is to create a “go-to” place for designers and makers to share. As a result, there are all kinds of designs on Pinshape—Pokeballs, Frozen’s Elsa, and even a “Wu-Tang Cookie Cutter.” Perusing their designs, it does not take very long to get inspired.

Option Two: The second option is for those who are a little short on time. Just by liking, sharing or pinning, you are entered to win 1 of 50 rolls.

Madesolid’s PET+ is a particularly special roll, with a widespread fan base. The biggest complaint people generally have about the highly flexible, engineering grade 100% recyclable filament is that it’s on the more expensive side.

As if to make their offer even more tempting, Pinshape will ship the PET+ filament to winners within the USA and Canada for free. Winners will be chosen at random at the conclusion of the contest, so there’s no pressure to perform. Just pick a design, print and post pictures. There are even Halloween designs on Pinshape, giving you an even better excuse to get printing.
