There’s something a bit paradoxical about a limited edition consumable like filament, isn’t there? Desktop 3D printing can have such an indefinite outcome when you use the material, and unlike a regular spool you can buy again and again, a limited edition batch filament is, by definition, finite. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Maybe what Fillamentum is doing with “The Drop” transcends the simple input-output equation of desktop 3D printing. The company says it takes inspiration from the fashion world, after all. Can a filament be a collector’s item, or do the things printed from it get that quality?
Whatever your opinion on the philosophy of it (it’s just, like, filament, man) one irrefutable fact is that we have gotten our hands on a spool of the bold, punchy purple Witch Please! filament – one of the three hundred available, courtesy of Fillamentum – and will be giving it away to a lucky reader.
We’ll foot the bill for shipping anywhere in the world, though any additional expenses beyond the initial postage, such as local processing fees or tariffs, are the responsibility of the winner. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.

One (1) winner will be chosen at random by anonymized blind draw from all eligible entries, winning one (1) spool of Fillamentum Witch Please! filament, at a value of $32.00. No cash alternative is offered. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.
The winner will be notified within five working days of the contest deadline (fulfilment period). All email addresses gathered for this giveaway will be deleted immediately after the fulfilment period and the prize has shipped to the winner.
