This video of a model maker building a jaeger from hit-film Pacific Rim, wading through the ocean, is the perfect antidote to a dreary start to the week.

It’s a good thing they canceled the apocalypse in 2013’s Pacific Rim; otherwise, we might have been denied the wonder of seeing this insanely detailed Gipsy Danger diorama come together.

The work of Russian model maker Roman Khramov (a.k.a. MiniBricks.co on Insta), 3D printing is employed both to create a mold for the ocean, and for the model of the jaeger itself. It’s the sort of thing we wish we had the free time to attempt. Then again, even with the time, we’re not nearly talented enough to pull it off. Is there a market for potatoes on toothpicks? We’d be good at that.

Enough words. Take 5 minutes out of your day to watch the video (please excuse the terrible embed formatting – we’re working on a fix. Here’s a link to the original post on r/howto) and enjoy.
