The EinScan Rigil wireless 3D scanner combines speed and detail for users who need to scan a wide variety of objects.
Shining 3D’s new EinScan Rigil, a full-color, handheld 3D scanner, is one of the most versatile and multi-functional devices we’ve seen lately. It offers a variety of scanning options that enable you to tailor it to the scanning tasks at hand.
If you’re someone who owns multiple scanners for various projects or has been forced to compromise on speed for detail or mobility for processing power, the Rigil aims to cover all the bases.

First, there are the three operating mode options. Essentially, you have the choice to be wireless or plugged in. The Standalone Mode enables all scanning and data processing to be performed directly on-device, which is ideal for fieldwork. There’s 64 gigabytes of memory and a 1-terabyte solid-state drive onboard, plus an 8-core processor that runs at 2.4 gigahertz.
The Wireless PC Mode connects via built-in Wi‑Fi 6 to offload scans to an external computer nearby and, we assume, boost your processing power. The fully wired PC Mode with a USB‑C tethered to your computer ensures maximum scan speed and the highest‑throughput scanning since your PC’s compute power aids with the heavy lifting.

Once you’ve chosen a method, you can select from scanning mode options. You can select the blue lasers in two patterns: 19 x 19 crossed lines for high‑speed scanning or 7 parallel lines for high‑resolution detail scanning. You can even toggle back and forth between the patterns to capture both types of data in one scan.
According to Shining 3D, the hybrid Laser HD mode achieves volumetric accuracy of 0.04 + 0.06 mm/m, with a geometric resolution down to 0.05 mm.
The Regil is not only a laser scanner but is also an infrared scanner. The IR mode is for marker‑free captures of larger objects and eye-safe portrait scanning for people, which is especially useful in medical applications.
IR Rapid mode delivers up to 1.6 million points per second, scanning at distances up to 1.5 meters.
The Rigil is equipped with a 5 megapixel color camera to capture texture details.
Shining 3D is launching a custom software just for use with the Rigil called EXScan Rigil. EXScan Rigil covers data modification, closed surface generation, model editing, exporting, and sharing.
It is available for $4,999, currently offered with a free Accessories Pro Kit (valued at approximately $399) for orders placed by July 25, 2025
