Prusa's answer to the question "what accessories should I get with this printer?" is "all of them". A full complement of build plates, nozzles, camera and other helpful doodads comes with the Core One "Ultimate Edition," making a great printer even better.
The Prusa Core One is an excellent 3D printer that has found its way into the top end of ranking charts across the printing media and communities, but now it’s available in a whole new form? An ultimate form? What gives?
Well, it’s not some new version with bells, whistles, or revolutionary new components, but it is a new way to order the machine itself. When Prusa Research’s Core One first hit the digital shelves, it was offered up, as usual, in both kit or assembled forms, and shoppers then had the option of adding in some extras they felt they might need, such as the air filtration system or camera.
Prusa has now, however, offered everything a buyer might need in one complete package – the Ultimate Edition. This bundles up everything you need and includes all the additional extras offered separately, meaning users will get every kind of compatible print sheet, the air filtration system, the Buddy3D camera, and three nozzles along with some handy accessories. For those who don’t have 100% confidence in what they need to get started, or simply want the kitted-out turbo Core One, this is for them. Drop this into your basket, check out, and get printing.
If you’ve already bagged a Core One minus accessories, you’re not completely left out, as Prusa has also prepared the Full Sheet Set and the Performance Nozzle Set to serve as useful upgrades. As their name implies, one offers the full selection of five print sheets (priced $219.99) and the other offers three nozzles: 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm brass nozzles with CHT (Core Heating Technology) and a 0.4 mm hardened nickel-plated nozzle. The set also includes a nozzle brush and some cleaning wires for $99.99.
Prusa would also like to remind you that the latest version of PrusaSlicer is now out of beta and fully released. Version 2.9.3 was a key update that waged war on VFAs (Vertical Fine Artifacts) and came with the standard little selection of enhancements you get with a new software version. The release candidate for the upcoming firmware 6.4.0 for the Prusa Core One, MK4S, MK4, MK3.9S and MK3.9 is also available and should give users better belt tuning and quieter homing.
The new Prusa Core One Ultimate Edition will set you back $1,349 for the kit or $1,599 for the fully assembled version, both of which are available on Prusa’s online store.
