With a first prize that includes an Original Prusa MK4S Kit and three Philips products, the contest shows that the companies' collaboration might just be getting started.

Philips joined Printables’ brand program less than a month ago, but have already opened their first 3D printing contest. The first prize includes an Original Prusa MK4S Kit and three Philips products, and the second and third prizes include 1,200 Prusameters and two Philips products, and 800 Prusameters and one Philips product respectively.

The goal of the contest is to submit a case or holder for any Philips grooming device that’ll make its transport, organization, and storage easier. Two warnings, though: The model must specify exactly what Philips device it’s meant for, and makers can’t “modify or create parts that attach to or change the function of Philips devices themselves. That’s a no-go for safety and technical reasons.”

There are three weeks to go (at time of writing) until the contest’s deadline of June 27.

This isn’t Prusa’s first time teaming up for a contest, as shown by the HyperX, Doctors without Borders Czech Republic, and Festool competitions.

Given that this particular contest is specific to Philips’ grooming devices and considering the brand’s vast catalog, we wouldn’t be surprised if more collaborations are announced in the future.
