Master Your Machine While Earning MakerWorld Points With New Bambu Lab Academy Courses
Bambu Lab Academy has increased its knowledge base, adding courses on the P1S, Bambu Studio, and Bambu Handy.
Bambu Lab Academy, the company’s free online learning platform designed to make it easier to understand and use your printer, just expanded its courses to cover the P1S 3D printer, the Bambu Studio slicing software, and the Bambu Handy smartphone app, and it’s about time.
The Academy launched in April with courses just covering the A1 Mini. Not only were these well received by users to who had the opportunity to master their A1 through 27 chapters spanning beginner to advanced, but they earned coveted MakerWorld Points for doing so. The points can be exchanged for actual products, like filament.
New in the Academy are three levels of learning all about your P1S and the Studio and Handy software, although the Handy has (at time of writing) only the Beginner option.
To access the content, you need only log in to your Bambu Lab account. The courses are structured so that you can only earn points once you’ve passed the quiz at the end of each level. It’s worth noting that the MakerWorld Points that can be earned are currently capped at 100 and are given once to each individual account – you can’t create various accounts and link them to combine the points. Still, it’s a good incentive (or reward) for learning, especially if you need points for your PrintMon Maker creations.
The courses start with basic content relevant to each topic, with each course level divided into chapters. These start with more general and introductory information for makers new to 3D printing and the Bambu Lab ecosystems, and with the progressing chapters and levels, the issues addressed become more technical and demanding. Even for makers who are experienced, checking out the advanced chapters can provide helpful tips on maintenance and troubleshooting.
More Bambu Lab Learning to Come?
The company says more printers and topic will be added to the Academy regularly, and language options are also in the works.
