MakerBot announced its latest venture in education with its Sketch Classroom, an ecosystem designed to help teachers and students get the most out of 3D printing.

More and more schools are welcoming 3D printers into their classrooms, but not all of them know how to make the most of the technology.

MakerBot – which has long had a focus on schools, think the MakerBot Replicator+ – announced its newest contribution to solving this problem, the MakerBot Sketch Classroom.

The company claims it addresses “the challenges of 3D printing in the classroom” by offering interactive certification courses for students and teachers, it said in a press release.

The program includes two MakerBot Sketch 3D printers, which look quite similar to Flashforge Adventurer 3s and have enclosed chambers, heated and flexible build plates, a filter and a built-in camera, plus  MakerBot Certification program licenses for two teachers’ and 10 students. It also includes access to MakerBot Cloud to manage their printing, Thingiverse Education, support and a few other items.
