Alongside the compact MJF 1200 hardware, HP’s new 3D printing portal powered by Craftcloud offers instant, professional MJF parts to everyone—even those without a printer.
HP’s new MJF 1200 is the first compact Multi Jet Fusion 3D printer in years, promising to make professional-grade parts faster and more affordable for every workshop, if you can wait until 2027. In the meantime, HP’s new HP 3D Printing Service Powered by Craftcloud can help you find a vetted provider for your MJF parts.
Although HP announced the smaller, cheaper, faster, and easier to use MJF machine today at its grand unveiling during the Rapid + TCT show in Boston, it didn’t release the exact price, only saying it was around $60K. Still, that’s less than the typical starting point of this technology ($100,000+) and welcome news for service providers and manufacturers of all kinds.

The MJF 1200 has a 12-liter build volume while the majority of MJF machines (4200 through 5600) use a consistent 41-liter build unit. There are also new automated processes for material mixing, build preparation, and part unpacking to reduce and simplify manual labor, HP says. The MJF 1200 is supported by Magics Print for HP software, a dedicated build-preparation powered by Materialise.
HP says this new solutions “delivers the same core MJF technology used across HP’s existing additive manufacturing portfolio … enabling teams to produce strong, functional polymer parts suitable for real-world applications.” So it’s not just for prototypes and is poised to be a scalable entry point into HP’s larger MJF portfolio.
“We want to have a system that can really deliver industrial quality parts to target those people who are stepping up from exploring 3D into essentially real 3D printing,” Arvind Rangarajan, HP’s global head of product and strategy told All3DP. “The parts you get [on the MJF 1200] are going to be indistinguishable from what you’d get out of our industrial printer.”

This new unit could represent a company’s in-house compatibility while volume production is trusted global network of vetted MJF service partners, such as Craftcloud.

Craftcloud by All3DP, a leading global advanced manufacturing platform, in collaboration with HP, today presented the new HP 3D Printing Service Powered by Craftcloud. Rapid + TCT marked HP’s 10 year anniversary in additive manufacturing. To celebrate, the company announced a series of developments across its entire portfolio aimed at “removing complexity and equipping engineers and designers with the tools they need to manufacture closer to where innovation happens.”
