Elegoo Matrix currently supports just the Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, but more resin systems are coming in Q3 with support for the Centauri Carbon set to follow.
Elegoo’s new 3D printer remote management and monitoring app Elegoo Matrix is the company’s first foray into multi-device management. The smartphone app (no computer or browser-based version available) is ready to download now on both iOS and Android.
For now, the software only supports Elegoo’s most recent resin 3D printer, the Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, but will support several more resin printers in the coming months: the Saturn 4 Ultra, Mars 5 Ultra, and Jupiter 2.
Additionally, Elegoo told All3DP that support for the Centauri Carbon “is already in the pipeline”, which is good news for the consumers eyeing this affordable FDM for print farms.
Aside from remote monitoring and basic controls, Elegoo says Matrix allows users to remotely tune print parameters like layer height and exposure, which sounds helpful for on-the-fly optimizations. Otherwise, Elegoo Matrix will offer pretty standard functionality for remote management apps, like multi-printer management, print history, and analytics.
The machines Elegoo has chosen to support include some of our favorites, but it’s also good to hear Elegoo will be supporting FDM machines like its popular Centauri Carbon, our current pick for the best 3D printer under $300; the initial release only names resin machines.
