Bambu Farm Manager offers a native, cloud-free solution for managing large printer fleets over local networks—designed for environments where control and security matter.
Bambu Lab has formally — and finally — launched Bambu Farm Manager, a free local network-based software platform giving you centralized control over your multiple Bambu Lab printers. Now, instead of launching each job on each machine individually or using a third-party farm software like 3DPrinterOS, there’s a native Bambu Lab solution that’s been in the works for quite a while.
With Bambu Farm Manager you can queue files to print based on printer availability, keep an eye on all of your printer’s real-time progress at a glance from one dashboard, send commands to groups of printers at once, and organize digital folders, tags, and filters to navigate your print jobs more easily.

Following a year-long beta that began in July 2024, the platform was soft-launched on May 27, 2025, and is now available as a free download for Windows 10 and higher. Compatible machines are Bambu’s P1P, P1S, A1, AImini, and X1C models, with support for the X1E and H2D expected later this year.
Security is a key focus of Bambu Lab when it comes to this new piece of software. Bambu Farm Manager enables full control over printer operations entirely within a local network—without the use of third-party services or external data storage. Operation commands and model files are transmitted to the printer only within your local network through an encrypted channel. The company says it is designed for environments with strict IT, privacy, and compliance requirements.
Bambu Farm Manager is made up of two components: a local server that runs in the background to communicate with connected printers and a client interface for monitoring and job control.
There’s no hard limit on how many printers you can connect, just what your network and PC can handle — dozens or even hundreds of printers.
Additional features include: batch operations, printer firmware upgrades, and, the much sought after multi-user management.

One early adopter of the system, Korneel, a print farm operator in the Netherlands, has used Bambu Farm Manager to run a fleet of roughly 35 – 45 Bambu Lab printers. His clients, which include manufacturing firms and artists, often require strict control over data flow due to confidentiality and compliance obligations, including GDPR. According to Korneel, Bambu’s local-only system enables him to guarantee that client files remain on-premise.
Until now, if you wanted to scale up a print farm with machines that have their own farm-enabled software, your choices were UltiMaker with its Digital Factory software, Prusa with its PrusaConnect, or Formlabs with its Fleet control, among just a few others.
Bambu Lab says that the current version of Farm Manager will remain free to use, though the company may introduce advanced paid features in the future. For now, the focus remains on building out the platform’s capabilities for users managing high-volume 3D printing operations locally.
The software is available for download on Bambu Lab’s website, alongside documentation and setup guides.
