Users can now make bulk purchases of select filament to receive up to 32% off, and subscribe to the OEM’s newsletter to trial upcoming filament.

Bambu Lab will lift membership restrictions for filament discounts starting on March 13, the OEM announced in an email yesterday. Additionally, those who subscribe to the company’s newsletter will be eligible to trial new filaments.

Discounts for bulk filament purchases – those comprising two or more spools – were previously locked behind Bambu Lab’s filament membership program. The monthly subscription service allowed members to buy up to eight rolls of filament per month at reduced prices.

For now, discounts apply to spools and refills of PLA Basic, PLA Matte, PETG Basic, PETG Translucent, and ABS. Those who purchase two rolls receive up to 24% off, three rolls up to 24% off and free shipping, and four to eight rolls can net up to a 32% discount and free shipping. It’s important to note these discounts vary by country.

All told, US buyers are looking at prices as low as $19.99 per spool, and $16.99 per refill. Discounts are automatically applied when checking out. There are no limits on the number of rolls users can order.

It’s unclear if the lift of restrictions is due to the lack of success of the Membership Program – or if the program will exist in any form after March 13. The monthly fee may have proved too steep for all but the most prodigious filament users. That said, the fact that there is no official word on the club’s shuttering may foretell a revamp of some sort.

There’s also no news as to when the next filament trial might occur, much less the type of filament it may be. Perhaps obviously, you’ll have to subscribe to the Bambu Lab newsletter to stay updated. For exact pricing of all current filament discounts, however, check out Bambu Lab’s website.
