Last Friday saw Borderlands 4 hit consoles and, wait, Printables too?!

Yeah, Printables too! Borderlands 4 hasn’t just landed on your gaming hardware of choice, Borderlands now has an official account on Printables, and so far features 5 official files you can 3D print.

The quirky, distinctive, and loot-obsessed FPS is no stranger to doing things a little unusually, and this is one of the first times we’ve seen a hit video game launch with printable, official cosplay accessories on the side.

So far, just the five files are available, including a couple of rifles (don’t worry, they’re very much sci-fi in design) and three items of character-specific outfits including the fantastic Ripper mask we used as the main image of this piece.

There are some fantastic prints already being shown off in the “Makes” tab of the file page already, showing that users have had no real issues getting to grips with the make itself. Borderlands itself has been pretty shy in its model descriptions, with no recommended print settings or material. So, it remains to be seen if this is purely a promotional move targeting the 3D printing demographic, or a commitment to making Borderlands cosplay a little easier to get into, and a lot more official.

One thing it has achieved is making us ponder what other games you’d like to see official 3D printable files for. Me? Metal Gear Solid 3: Delta. I’d like to print a Davy Crockett (with matching carry case) or The End’s official dentures – if ya know, ya know.

Also, please let us know if you’ve played Borderlands 4 and if it’s any good. There’s more than a couple of gamers in the All3DP office!
