CEL RoboxPRO 3D Printer: Review the Facts Here!

Shining the light for 3D printer manufacturing in the United Kingdom, CEL announces a super-sized RoboxPRO 3D printer with dual extrusion, Olsson Ruby nozzles, and a wealth of features. Review the facts here.

Following the successful launch of the Robox desktop 3D printer in December 2013, and the upgraded dual extrusion RoboxDual in early 2017, CEL UK have announced a totally new model at Bett 2018 – RoboxPRO.

RoboxPRO is designed to cater to the needs of more professional users with a large build volume of 210 x 300 x 400 mm and greatly enhanced capabilities.

CEL UK promises that their new dual extrusion machine will have the same ease-to-use as RoboxDual. It has integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, a flexible magnetic build plate, key-locking door, on-board touchscreen controller, a HEPA air filtration system, and web access with real-time monitoring and alerts.

This larger-scale Robox was designed based on feedback from CEL UK’s growing customer base, who requested the same features from their existing 3D printer but with a bigger volume. This would enable them to create large parts in one piece.

“As a manufacturer of mass produced goods, we fully appreciate the need to produce high quality prototypes, jigs/fixtures and components quickly and efficiently,” says CEL UK managing director and Robox inventor, Chris Elsworthy.

“We’ve designed RoboxPRO with business and advanced education use in mind and are confident this new addition to the Robox family will help users get the most out of additive manufacturing technology to reduce lead times, accelerate innovation and enhance the quality of their products.”

RoboxPRO also features a new print head with an Olsson Ruby nozzle to enhance the user experience when working with highly abrasive, structural materials for professional use.

CEL UK has the distinction of being the first manufacturer in the world to offer the nozzle as an ‘out of the box’ experience.

In addition, the team have partnered with Italian filament maker FiberForce to provide glass and carbon-filled nylons which can be used effortlessly with the new nozzle.

The system will also include the dual extrusion head and the innovative Robox needle valve nozzle control technology currently featured in the existing range.

CEL UK says RoboxDual and RoboxPRO 3D printers are up to 30 per cent faster than other large dual extrusion 3D printers currently on the market, thanks to the patented needle valve nozzle control technology which enables instantaneous, clean switching between nozzles for the most efficient user experience.
