Former president and CEO of 3D Systems, Avi Reichental, is joining Nano Dimension as co-chairman.

Nano Dimension, the Israeli-based 3D printing company, has announced that a legend in the 3D printing world, Avi Reichental, has accepted the company’s board of directors’ invitation.

Reichental was previously the President and CEO of 3D Systems as well as a highly influential person in the 3D printing cosmos. Some of you may recognize him from the Netflix 3D printing documentary, “Print the Legend”.

Reichental will be leading Nano Dimension as co-chairman with current chairman Mr. Itzhak Shrem. Although Nano Dimension is a relatively small company, it is already the industry leader in 3D printed electronics.

You may remember the company for their development of 3D Printing Multimaterial Electrical Conductors or their PCB printer. The territory of 3D printing electronic circuits is relatively new. It has a lot of potential, especially in the pro sector. But it’s not (yet) known as a field big companies invest in. Maybe Mr. Reichental can change this.

“We are delighted that Avi Reichental accepted our invitation to co-lead the Nano Dimension board and look forward to working with him in his capacity as co-chairman. As we firmly transition into full commercial activities with first customer orders for our DragonFly 2020 Pro, I am confident that Avi’s deep industry knowledge and extensive leadership experience, will enhance our strategic direction, strengthen our go-to-market plans and bolster our purpose to disrupt and reshape how electronics are designed and made,” Itzhak Shrem, chairman of Nano Dimension, stated.

What Avi Reichental Will Bring to the Table

Reichental was president, chief executive officer, and director at 3D Systems (DDD) for more than ten years. He explains:

“I am honored to be invited to serve as co-chairman of Nano-Dimension, the first and only company to deliver industrial strength 3D printed circuit boards and electrified geometries to the market convincingly. I look forward to working closely with the entire leadership team so that together we can electrify additive manufacturing for the benefit of small and large businesses alike.”

Currently, the Nano Dimensions is focusing on creating printed circuit boards (PCBs) 3D printers. This is due to a market which increasingly relies on sophisticated features for electronic devices.

Reichental certainly has the potential to expand Nano Dimension’s reach even further, especially when you review his background. In fact, he is also the founder of XponentialWorks, a venture investment and advisory firm. But, he also works as general partner at OurCrowd First, Israel’s most active early-stage venture fund.

His background is in building promising early or small tech companies up. As a small but already promising leader in 3D printed electronics, Nano Dimension is no different.
