11 Facts on CEL Robox

1. Full Name

CEL Robox Ltd.

2. Company Information

First launched at the end of 2014 after a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, CEL Robox is the flagship 3D printer (review here) offering from British-based product development company.

3. History

After a large amount of international press coverage, CEL Robox was debuted at CES 2014 to great acclaim – and is still considered to be one of the most reliable 3D printers (in its price range) on the market. As a start-up company powered by a widely successful Kickstarter campaign, the company’s initial delivery of 3D printers to backers has now extended to an international distribution of products, which can be ordered from the company directly or via any one of its many resellers.

In designing an accessible and reliable 3D printer, CEL designed the 3D printer in order to enable 3D printing for the mass-consumer market. With education and sustainability in mind alongside the development of the technology, the CEL Robox concept comes across just as well as its 3D prints.

4. Products

Despite a single hardware product offering, CEL Robox boasts a number of smart, user-friendly features to enable 3D printing technology:

CEL Robox

This desktop machine (which comes pre-assembled), features a great resolution to volume ratio alongside dual nozzle and interchangeable print-head features. This allows for a wide range of material print choices, alongside the opportunity to upgrade hardware to match product development over time.

Automaker Software

This accompanying software option provides a fully polished user experience in sync with the 3D printer. Automaker is the software used to layout models, view the status of Robox and adjust the settings used during a printing or other operations. Automaker is available to download and can be installed in most languages on many operating systems including Windows, MacOS and Linux.

Community Support

Like any serious 3D printer manufacturing brand, the company offers a lively support base in the form of an online forum, a technical support forum and a download section.
