Metal 3D printing meets muzzle tech as PWS scales silencer production with Nikon SLM.

Among the specialized and niche manufacturers with products practically born to be 3D printed are those that make gun silencers, or suppressors. Utah-based PWS just purchased a ~$1M metal 3D printer from Nikon SLM to scale production. 3D printing enables suppressors to be constructed as lightweight and seamless single pieces with intricate sound-suppressing internal channels that can't be made any other way.
