Weekend Poll
by Matthew Mensley Jul 12, 2026
When did you last grease your leadscrew?

No, that's not a euphemism. User manuals prescribe preventative maintenance schedules that, if we're being honest with ourselves, we don't always follow. Some printers will remind you to grease your rods, rails and screws, but even we're prone to occasionally hitting "remind me later."

Following the last weekend poll about confidence hitting "print" and walking away (itself an interesting three-way split between first-layer-only watchers, remote monitors, and hit "print" and don't look backs) we want to know how many of you maintain your machines to the manufacturer's schedule?
