A Reddit user's bathroom renovation sparks a hilarious 3D printing meme.

Reddit user npanth has inadvertently achieved a modicum of internet fame thanks to a post last week, in which they revealed that their contractor had “trouble visualizing” their bathroom renovation. The solution? A 3D printed floor plan, of course, complete with marker-written labels (“sink”, “toilet”, etc.), in hilariously messy block-print.

The post currently has more than 3,500 upvotes on r/3Dprinting, and has spawned a new meme that focuses on what other Reddit users were having trouble visualizing. One, for example, had trouble visualizing what to have for lunch – until a 3D printed apple helped make that decision.

Another could no longer visualize the famed painting, “Great Wave off Kanagawa”, resulting in a 3D print of the great wave itself. Cooking pans, double-stuff Oreos, lizards, projected quarterly review graphs, even a miniature 3D printer, for a user who simply couldn’t remember the look of their own machine. The “trouble visualizing” meme had a truly glorious moment in the sun, with ridiculous 3D prints helping to jog the memories of the subreddit’s users.

On our end, we had trouble visualizing this article’s headline – so we printed it. Nothing beats a visual aid!
