A Kickstarter campaign from Czech outfit Strojtools is touting the Lvl 2 set for Original Prusa Mini and Mini + 3D printers, which “guarantee[s] printing accuracy of less than 0.1 mm.”

The Lvl 2 consists of parts that backers will print themselves and pieces they will receive by mail. An aluminum alloy X-axis brace works to reinforce printers’ X-axes, resulting in higher stability and precision. A printable Z-axis reinforcement helps increase accuracy levels, while a printable X-end extension improves aesthetics, strength, and stability.

Also included in the Lvl 2 are fasteners, transfer handles, “decorations,” and “calibration/transport stops” that aim to increase precision and accuracy.

The proclaimed benefits of the set are far-ranging, including surface quality improvements, higher accuracy of printed parts, larger load capacities, and vibration reduction. Additionally, Strojtools says, the Lvl 2 protects the printers’ X axes against damage from impact or falls and features quick and easy assembly and setup.

Also on offer from Strojtools are two bifacial, perforated print beds for Prusa Mini and Mini+ printers, which feature honeycomb and brick wall patterns – resulting in an “almost unlimited lifetime and effective adhesion to the vast majority of printed materials,” according to a press release.

As with all Kickstarter campaigns, the Lvl 2 has been neither tested nor shipped, so we’ve yet to see its efficacy. The campaign, however, has already raised more than twice its initial €3,000 (~$3,126) goal. Those who pledge €55 (~$57) or more will receive an “early bird” price, with €105 (~$109) netting you both the Lvl 2 set and a print bed. Estimated delivery is February 2023.
