Xometry is working on situating itself as a leader in rapid prototyping and on-demand manufacturing. It offers 3D printing technologies, resources such as webinars, and a range of digital fabrication tools.

One of its resources is its Instant Quoting Engine which provides designers with the ability to upload a file and get a figure for how much it would cost to produce.

The designer can then order a custom manufactured part which is created by one of the 3,000 manufacturers in Xometry’s Partner Network. With Xometry, it’s possible to create parts via CNC Machining, 3D Printing, Sheet Metal Fabrication, and Injection Molding.

Ingo Ramesohl, Managing Director for Robert Bosch Venture Capital, said: “Xometry’s instant quoting engine helps drive efficiency by leveraging AI algorithms to instantly generate a price, lead time, and manufacturability feedback.”

The company recently launched Xometry Supplies, which offers, you guessed it, supplies such as tooling and materials. Check out the Xometry website for more information.
