Prusa’s latest hue taps into the darker side of design – just in time for Halloween’s creative chaos or pre-season Christmas cheer.

Just in time for Halloween (or maybe a little late), Prusa Research has dropped a new color on Oct. 30 that’s as hauntingly beautiful as it is bold – Prusament PLA Blood Red ($‌25.99/kg).

This latest addition to the Prusament family is a deep, elegant crimson that seems to glow from within – the kind of shade that Dracula himself might use for his next 3D printed chalice. Described as “elegant, bold, and perfect for adding a touch of magic”, Blood Red isn’t just for spooky season. With the holidays right around the corner, we can already imagine it shining in Christmas ornaments, glimmering gift tags, or candy canes on your 3D printed tree.

All Prusament is made in-house in the company’s Prague factory.

This isn’t Prusament’s first foray into the red spectrum, of course. The red lineup already boasts fiery favorites like Galaxy Red, Lipstick Red, Carmine Red, and Pearl Ruby Red, each with its own personality. But Blood Red cuts deeper, balancing sophistication with just the right amount of drama.

So whether you’re crafting gothic props for your Halloween costume or gearing up for festive décor, this new filament is here to make your prints drop-dead gorgeous.
