Fill your print room with the pleasant scent of wood — not chocolate, unfortunately — with this PLA filled with wood-waste particles.
Prusa Research has unveiled a new addition to its premium filament line and the second of its wood-filled polymers: Prusament Woodfill Chocolate Brown, a sustainably produced, wood-filled filament designed to mimic the look, feel, and even scent of real wood.
Made in-house by Prusa’s materials division, Prusament, the filament is crafted from recycled wood manufacturing waste, offering a sustainable option for makers focused on both aesthetics and environmental responsibility. Unlike many wood-filled materials, Prusament Woodfill can be printed with a standard 0.4 mm brass nozzle, eliminating the need for larger-diameter hardware or pre-print drying.

Ideal for decorative objects, interior accents, or detailed prototypes, the new material can be sanded, painted, and stained just like natural wood. With its lightweight, subtle color, and “pleasing odor”, according to Pursa, the filament is designed to appeal to designers and hobbyists alike.
Prusament Woodfill Chocolate Brown joins the company’s growing portfolio of specialty materials focused on ease of use, precision, and sustainable sourcing.
Printing requires a nozzle temperature of around 195°C and a heated bed to 60 °C. Prints will be brittle, Prusa notes, and watch out for the strong adhesion to the PEI surface (separation layer needed).
