Magigoo Strengthens Its Lineup with Supergrip and Glide Kit

The two new additions are specialized for flexible build plates and roller application, respectively.

Thought3D has released two new products to its popular Magigoo 3D printer adhesive lineup: Magigoo Supergrip and Glide Kit.

Magigoo Supergrip (~$20) is specialized for flexible build plates, such as smooth and textured PEI, PC, satin sheets, among others. Thought3D says the new formulation has “superior spreadability” for the surfaces, and has an extended lifespan “due to absence of flaking and loss of adhesive on removal”, which allows “multiple prints per application.” The adhesive works with PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, and more materials, and brings improved performance with ASA and PLA at lower temperatures.

Magigoo Glide Kit offers the original Magigoo formula with a new application method that Thought3D says is easier and delivers a more consistent spread. The kit, priced at $99, includes an application roller, Magigoo original in a new bottle, and a cleaning cloth. Magigoo Glide refills run a little cheaper at $77. Thought3D says it’s ideal for “print farms or anyone printing frequently on multiple machines or large-format printers”, and specifies that one bottle of the product should be enough for over 1,200 prints on a standard build plate.

~$22 for a roller might seem steep, but it plays a critical role, Thoughts3D says in a press release. “Although it may look like any other, its material and surface finish directly affect how the adhesive spreads. Not all rollers perform the same. Finding the right one was essential to achieving a smooth, even application.”

The new Magigoo products are available from both the manufacturer and resellers. They could be worth adding to your shopping cart if you’re experiencing bed adhesion problems.
