Lychee Slicer 6.2 Update, Mango 3D Rebrand & Upcoming ‘Lychee Library’ Repository
The latest update boosts slicing speed and offers cloud saves, while the soon-to-come Lychee Library repository will boast 1,000-plus models.
Along with a major update to Lychee Slicer with version 6.2, Mango 3D has rebranded itself as “Lychee” – named for the software – and is giving itself a new look. The company has also teased a forthcoming model repository called “Lychee Library”.
Lychee Slicer 6.2 is headlined by two new features. First up is “Fast Slicing”, which Mango 3D says results in a tenfold increase in slicing speed for both resin and filament 3D printers.
The second enables users to locally back up their Lychee Slicer, as well as save them in the cloud – undoubtedly a time-saver when using different devices. The update also provides bug fixes and support for new filament and resin 3D printers.
Lychee Library, once launched, will offer more than 1,000 “ready to print” models and be integrated with Lychee Slicer, Mango 3D says, so users can directly search for and print 3D models. There’s no word on pricing or a release date yet – all we know it is “coming soon”.
