The LittleArm V3 is the third generation Arduino 3D printed robot arm. A great kit for teaching STEM and programming.

Slant Concepts, a company with a history of leaving its Kickstarter funding goals in the dust, has done it again after launching the third version of its LittleArm robotic arm on Kickstarter.

It all started in 2016, a guy in a garage built a small robot arm utilizing an Arduino Uno and his 3D printer. After the internet got wind of it, people asked him to turn it into a kit. So, the guy in the garage, Gabe Bentz, founded Slant Concepts and put it on Kickstarter.

The project was funded in under a week, hitting more than 260% of its goal by the end.

Since then, Slant Concepts has been designing STEM kits allowing kids to learn playfully and get excited about technology. So far, it’s created and released just under 10 different kits.

Prompted by the great response and feedback by the community, a follow-up iteration was released in 2017 – the LittleArm 2C – which ended up raising 560% of its original goal.

The latest creation by Slant Concepts is a further improvement to its original Arduino Robot Arm. The V3 has fewer parts is simpler and more reliable to build and relies more on 3D printing than the previous kits have.

If you are looking for STEM projects for kids or want to tinker away yourself, this might be the project for you.
