A recent Reddit post showcases a Gameboy-lookalike LCD enclosure for Prusa Mini 3D printers that’s sure to give your setup a retro-inspired boost.

Created as a companion piece for the Bulbasaur Mini Mod, Reddit user atom-b’s design is a relatively simple, three-part print consisting of a button, a D-pad knob, and your choice of frame. The results are visually striking, especially so when implemented with the Bulbasaur mod. The two go together like, well, Nintendo and Pokémon.

There are a few specifics and some advice regarding assembly that can be found on the enclosure’s Printables page, as well as suggestions for filament colors that will keep the frame looking as realistic as possible. Also notable are atom-b’s color choices for the Bulbasaur mod itself, which are about as screen-accurate as you can get – and which are listed in the Reddit post linked above, should you be interested in going full Pokémon with your Prusa Mini.
