Pitched mainly at beginners, Elegoo’s new slicing software, SatelLite, features what the company claims is “innovative node-based slicing,” which can “simplify complex tasks” and “boost productivity”.

At a glance, it appears the slicer emphasizes visual clarity in the various components and tasks of slicing for resin 3D printing, with clear annotations and an uncluttered layout that can be customized around your frequently used tools.

A “comprehensive” material library is also present, giving you quick access to material profiles and settings.

The new slicer does not come at the expense of others, the company told All3DP at Formnext. There are no shutters coming down around how and where you prepare printing jobs for the company’s hardware. Likewise, there won’t be tiered levels of access, with all essential print preparation tools available as standard.

Due to launch by the end of this year on Windows, with a MacOS version following early next, the slicer marks a new phase in Elegoo’s ongoing efforts to cover all bases with its hardware.
