Creality is set to release a new 3D scanner, the RaptorX, on October 8.

The device uses 41 blue lines – 34 horizontal and 7 vertical – to scan both large and small objects between 5-4,000 mm with claimed accuracy of up to 0.02 mm.

A wireless and Wi-Fi-enabled design allows the device to be used portably – Creality specifically mentions outdoor environments here – and transfer data via Wi-Fi 6. A 5,000 mAH battery works to provide more than three hours of life on a single charge, while fast-charging capability means a depleted battery will be back to 80% in as few as 25 minutes.

While the RaptorX carries an MSRP of $4,599, early-bird discounts run from October 8-11 and October 11-21, and can net interested users 35% off and 13% off – meaning the device will cost $2,999 and $3,999 during the respective time periods.
