One thing you can never accuse Creality of is sitting still with its offering. Besides the company’s latest low-cost machines, the Ender 3 V3 series, Creality will be bringing its newly expanded ecosystem of products, which now includes multicolor/multi-material printing, filament management, resin 3D printing, resin post-processing, materials, both consumer and metrology-grade scanning and more.
The consumer focus will undoubtedly settle on Creality’s new K2 Plus mid-size printer and its companion CFS multi-spool unit (which together allow for multicolor/multi-material printing.) One of a clutch of new multi-spool systems from various companies that follow in the wake of Bambu Lab and its AMS and AMS Lite machines, Creality’s CFS accommodates four spools of filament in its sealed box, with humidity and temperature readouts assisting the user in keeping printing conditions optimal for their materials.
Up to four CFS devices can be chained together to allow prints using 16 different spools of material. The K2 Plus printer the CFS accompanies is no slouch, either, with high-speed printing in a build volume of 350 x 350 x 350 mm accompanied by a 350°C hot end and Creality’s all-new Apus extruder. Due to start shipping in July, Rapid+TCT will be an ideal opportunity to get a glimpse of the system.
Those invested in Creality’s ecosystem should check out the CR-Scan Raptor. Creality’s answer to entry-level professional scanners, such as Shining3D’s Einstar. The Raptor combines blue laser and near-infrared technologies, each seemingly paired off to the marker tracking and feature tracking scan modes, respectively. With a price tag in the region of ~$1,600, it breaks new ground for the company.
Beyond the K2 Plus, CR-Scan Raptor, and co, you can also get a look at machines from Creality’s lesser publicized PioCreat subsidiary, too. While not a part of the Creality brand (but belonging to the eponymous parent company), PioCreat offers a mix of pro resin printers catering to verticals including dental and jewelry and large-scale, high-volume printing via the brand’s pellet-based extrusion systems, including the G12 and G5Ultra 3D printers.
To find Creality, enter the hall for Rapid + TCT and turn right immediately. Walk to the end and there it is, booth #2909–the last before the concession seating area.
