Bambu Lab teased the S1 3D scanner, confirming today that the new device is coming in November 2026.

In a brief announcement, the company shared an image of a black, handheld scanner with a pistol-style grip, accompanied by the tagline “Easy in Hand. Pro in Every Scan.

“Following our 3D printers and laser cutter, stepping into 3D scanning is a natural extension of our ongoing vision: building a personal manufacturing hub by making professional-grade tools accessible,” the company says.

“Create from your world. Start with a scan,” is another tagline, suggesting a focus on making it easier to digitize real-world objects.

Beyond that, Bambu Lab is keeping details under wraps. No specifications, scanning technology, pricing, or software features have been revealed.

“With the S1, we are once again doing what we do best: rigorous engineering craft, professional performance, and an intuitive user experience that lowers the barrier to entry,” the company says.

Whether the S1 can bring Bambu Lab’s reputation for user-friendly 3D printing to the world of 3D scanning remains to be seen.

The company has not provided an exact launch date, but more details are expected in November.
