Creality’s new K2 Pro launches Aug 25 with a live stream event set to herald the new printer’s arrival.

Creality fans, mark your calendars. The new Creality K2 Pro 3D printer we saw back at Rapid + TCT this year is set to officially launch on August 25, priced from $1,049. To celebrate the release, the company will host a special live stream event that will likely showcase the printer’s features and give viewers a first look at the K2 Pro in action.

Built with speedy CoreXY kinematics, the K2 Pro can combine up to four CFS systems (meaning up to 16 spools of filament) for multicolor or multi-material printing. It also comes with an actively heated build chamber and AI-assisted performance, making the K2 Pro very much a Bambu Lab-inspired flagship model.

With a build volume of 300 x 300 x 300 mm, the Creality K2 Pro proudly states it has the capability to print full-size helmets, and with its 60 °C heated chamber it does seem as if printing a helm from exotic filaments would be possible too. The aforementioned AI-assisted performance relies on the K2 Pro’s two built-in cameras, one in the chamber for remote monitoring and time-lapses, and one on the nozzle to get a good look at the print in progress. Conveniently, an RFID reader is in place with the K2 Pro, so the machine should recognize exactly which Creality-branded filament you’ve attached to it.

The live stream on August 25 will likely provide a detailed unboxing and setup guide, walking users through the printer’s modular design and features. Expect demonstrations, giveaways, and the latest pricing information. Pay close attention to how quickly it should get up and running, Creality says this thing should be ready to rumble just after unboxing.

By the way, a base K2 is mentioned on the K2-series page (and was present at Rapid + TCT) , but we’ve not seen it listed for sale on Creality’s site just yet. Perhaps Creality is planning a different launch date for that, or perhaps it’s going to be stealth launched. Keep your eyes peeled!

One thing we did spot though is that if you “subscribe” over on the K2’s store page (this looks like handing over your email to be kept informed of things, the usual arrangement) you’ll be granted 8% off. That’s a fair chunk of change when you’re spending over $1,000.
