Content Policy

All3DP is an editorially independent magazine. We work hard to create original content that is truthful, accurate, objective, impartial, fair, and accountable.

Our Journalistic Standards

All3DP’s management, editorial staff, and freelancers adhere to a clear ethics policy. The editorial team chooses the topics, sources, and products it wants to cover without external influence. Our staff has no direct association with the manufacturers or companies we cover.

We do NOT:

  • Sell products
  • Reprint press releases
  • Sell product reviews
  • Publish any unsolicited content or guest posts
  • Sell links

We’re here to cover the industry without bias. All our reviews, awards, and opinions are the product of our editorial staff, a team of digital media professionals with years of experience producing tech news, consumer reviews, in-depth features, and comprehensive guides. Our staff and writers maintain complete independence from our advertising efforts.

Writers Compensation

All3DP pays freelancers for their content generation. The editorial staff directs all topics. Contributors are not permitted to accept payments, gifts, or other benefits from manufacturers. Violation of these terms will incur contract termination.

We Correct Mistakes

Should we make factual mistakes in our published articles, we will update or remove the offending content and issue a clearly marked update when necessary.

Review Units

All review samples are provided to All3DP at the manufacturer’s expense. We do not exchange coverage (favorable or otherwise) in exchange for access to machines – all opinions are 100% the independent view of All3DP’s editorial staff. Manufacturers do not review our content before publication.

Reasonable efforts are made to return review samples. Those that cannot be returned are donated to worthy causes local to All3DP’s operations or put into deep storage until they can be donated.

Advertising on All3DP

Quality content is time-consuming and costly to produce. We do not want to put a monetary barrier between readers and our content or give up our editorial independence, so we finance ourselves through advertising and affiliate revenues. This lets us keep All3DP free and independent.

Advertising and affiliation referral programs are All3DP’s primary source of revenue. When you click on a shopping link on our site and decide to buy that product, we get a small percentage from the manufacturer for that purchase.

Advertisers can book dedicated ad spots on All3DP as outlined in our advertising kit, but we don’t allow sponsored links, guest posts, paid reviews, or external interference in buyer’s guides or other articles on All3DP. Manufacturers can book advertising articles called “sponsored content” on our website. To distinguish between editorial and ad copy, these sponsored articles are clearly marked as advertising in the headline and within the article. The byline will show the company name.

Our company advertising team is responsible for establishing advertising partnerships. Under no circumstances do our staff or writers benefit from advertising deals or positive coverage.

If you want to use an adblocker on All3DP, we offer an ad-free subscription.

Republishing Rights

Unless noted otherwise, All3DP’s copy is re-publishable under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-ND 4.0). This means you are welcome to repost All3DP articles in their entirety, unchanged, with attribution. Images are not part of the license but don’t hesitate to contact the editorial staff when it comes to using All3DP’s images.

Images

We either license or buy images, use press photos, shoot images ourselves, or clearly attribute images with a do-follow link to the creators. We may adjust the lighting, resolution, or background to enhance images, and we strive to label all digital renderings as such. If you feel your image has been used inappropriately, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Craftcloud

Craftcloud is a 3D printing marketplace provided by All3DP. Here you can get an instant price comparison for 3D printing files. As we think that the service is helpful to people wanting professional prints, we actively point to Craftcloud in All3DP’s articles.

Editorial Advisory Board

All3DP Pro covers the professional side of 3D printing. Its Editorial Advisory Board (link) is a distinguished group of key thought leaders in additive manufacturing. The members serve as stewards of our editorial standards — guiding and advising us on the most pressing issues and innovations. Their mission is to be our eyes and ears in the industry and ensure our content remains cutting-edge, informative, accurate, and unbiased. The All3DP Editorial Advisory Board is not compensated.

Use of tools and AI

Artificial intelligence is progressing rapidly and will affect editorial work worldwide in the future.

It’s our editorial staff and our valued contributors who write our articles. Through our Content Academy, an offering for freelancers to contribute to All3DP with an editor’s help, we feature the unique voice of hundreds of authors instead of AI. Our editorial team checks, edits, and reviews every article before publication. The final say if an article gets published always lies in the hands of the editorial staff, and we stand by our articles by posting with the authors’ names. Where “All3DP” is listed as the author, it indicates a group project.

As of summer 2023, All3DP already uses AI-driven tools like spell-checkers, image enhancers, translation services, or Big Data analyses. They help us to improve the quality of our work. We also constantly evaluate new tools to assist us in our editorial work. If a tool delivers wrong or biased results, doesn’t meet our editorial standards, or violates this ethics policy, we won’t use it. We see AI as an additional help to our work, not replacing what our human editorial staff does.
