The fate of the world's largest 3D printer is in question

as the University of Maine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center, which built the printer and produced the world's largest 3D printed boat (at the time) and then a really cool 3D printed polymer house, and has generally advanced the industry's understanding of large-scale 3D printing's capabilities, lost $16 million in federal funding and laid off nine employees this week.
