It may not look like a sophisticated 3D printed aerospace innovation,

but these 40 cm-long microvanes printed from composite material and stuck to the fuselage of aircraft work to reduce drag, extend flight range, and will save the U.S. Air Force $14 million annually in fuel costs, according to the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command.
