Only through 3D scanning and 3D printing is the National Gallery of Denmark able to offer visitors the chance to see nearly all of Michelangelo’s existing sculptures in one place. The exhibit, “Michelangelo Imperfect,” includes a new set of 3D printed copies made for the show by the Madrid-based studio Factum Arte which used resin 3D printing to create lifesize casts of the artist's work.
