Someday, soon, we'll 3D print heart valves.

A 3D printed implantable heart valve made from a shape-memory elastomer that supports tissue regeneration around it and then bioresorbs within six to 12 months could be a game-changer in heart valve-surgery, especially for children, say researchers at Georgia Tech University. The 3D printers used for this research are LumenX from Cellink and Formlabs.
