Metal 3D printing enables lighter, cheaper, and better satellites made faster than ever before. From SpaceX to NASA to Boeing, more manufacturers are turning to metal 3D printing for critical parts and in less than a decade, satellites could be produced mostly with additive manufacturing, according to a new report by Additive Manufacturing Research, AM for Satellites: a 3D Printing Market Opportunity. The market for metal 3D printing hardware used for satellite parts could grow more than four times its current size by 2033.
