From Guinness World Record-setting 3D printed boat to defense-ready hulls.

Evergreen Additive, just spun out of the Univ. of Maine's Advanced Structures & Composites Center, which brought us the world's largest 3D printed boat (in 2019). The start-up will specialize in commercial boat hulls and marine tooling, particularly unmanned military vessels. After a Navy-funded program saw them take a 6-meter vessel from CAD model to successful sea trials in just five months, the founders realized their tech was too "transformative" to stay in the lab.
